11:28 am - Broken Heart

I miss you.
More than that, I miss us.
You were my world, my life.
I gave all of myself to make you happy,
Because you made me happy.
Now I have nothing but tears.
I keep thinking you'll miss me.
I keep thinking you'll come back.
I want to tell you all this,
Every minute of every day,
But I know if I do,
I'll only push you further away.
I cherish all the time we spent,
Every place we ever went.
I wish you all the best,
But I believe the best for you is me.
I therefore cannot wish that unto you,
For that is a selfish wish.
Though my heart wants to believe,
That one day you'll come back to me,
My mind is ever filled with doubt,
So I must prepare myself to live without you.
I love you more than words express,
And I hope one day you'll find the best.
I miss you,
But more than that I miss us.

11:17 am - Customer Service - Good and Bad (or what I've learned)

This entry was going to be a rant but in the middle of the rant I received a phone call and now it it is an entry regarding something I've learned this week. I've learned that if a company's customer service decision regarding a reasonable situation upsets you, call back. You will either get an employee that cares more, understands the situation better, or is more capable of instigating change.

09:53 am - New Job

Most of you already know but I suppose I should make the official announcement. I have a new job as an Aviation Electrician on a Boeing USAF project. I will be working at Edwards Air Force Base. Hopefully it won't be hard to do that and go to school, although it's not starting well with the mandatory training forcing me to miss the first week of school entirely.

Well, maybe you aren't this extreme, but you're in league with the crazy scientists/mathmeticians of today. Very few people have the talent of math and science is something takes a lot of brains as well. Thank whosever God you worship, or don't worship, so thank no deity whatsoever in your case, for you people! Most of us would have died off without your help.

09:50 pm - Everyone should watch this

If you're pro-gun, anti-gun, or otherwise you should watch this. It's common sense and it's Penn and Teller so it's got its funny moments:

11:16 am - I am awesome!

You know the Bible 72%!

Wow! You are truly a student of the Bible! Some of the questions were difficult, but they didn't slow you down! You know the books, the characters, the events . . . Very impressive!

This is probably more due to my ability to take tests than my knowledge of the bible. I barely passed Bible Lit. in high school.

11:08 pm - Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Apparently there is going to be another TMNT movie. It looks to be computer animated so poo, the live action was cool. The trailer I saw on imdb did however have a "your mom" joke in it so the movie may be worth seeing after all.

10:07 am - Maybe I should be an advertising guy person

It hit me like a flash. A comedy commercial for the NFL. Beer goggles for the football fan. Like beer goggled Raider fans seeing the Chargers instead of the Raiders. Or obvious good calls by Refs seen as bad by a beer goggled fan. Maybe with split screen, Reality on one side, Beer goggles on the other. Or like, the wife says "Stop watching the game and clean out the garage." But the husband hears "Would you like another beer and a blow job while you watch?" Naturally he responds "sure honey". Then like "The NFL reminds you to watch and drink responsibly." Maybe I should stick to computers.

11:20 pm - I don't know how to do cuts so deal with it

I got my last grade today and I was so happy I took a screenshot. As the title states, I don't know how to do cuts, don't much care to learn so there ya go:

The blank ones are the winter classes I'm doing now and the classes I'm enrolled in for Spring that should give me the credits for an Associates degree in Math and Science.

03:51 pm - Music Video Update

I found buried amongst movies like Waterworld and The Postman Depeche Mode videos from 1986 to 1996 or something like that. I used "Enjoy the Silence" due to it's obvious use of open frame to infer isolation and "visual silence." I'm not sure if visual silence is a real phrase but I used it anyway. Overall, I'm feeling good about my start to the Winter Semester.

09:57 am - So far so good

Finally got my Physics grade 2 weeks after the instructor said it would be up. It's an 'A' so my GPA is holding for now. My winter classes are going okay but I have to watch a music video for my film as an art form class but MTV doesn't play videos anymore and neither does VH1. I'm gonna either have to watch country music videos (still plenty of those around) or look through my DVDs for music videos that are in the bonus features.

02:17 pm - Note to self and other students

Don't take 2 essay classes in a 6 week semester. I just put my calendar of assignments together for the winter semester and it's pretty ugly. Fortunately I don't work so I should have time to pull it off.

03:23 pm - Grades

The semester has been over for 2 weeks now and I still only have half my grades. What really sucks is that it's the 2 I already knew. I expected my Electronics instructor to not post grades for a while and actually I believe I'll ask him for it at the first meeting of the Spring class before he posts it online. My physics teacher on the other hand said that we should be able to see our grades by last Wednesday. I'm pretty sure of my grade in that class but I'm not totally sure and it would be nice to know. Damn the Marine Corps for the competitive nature they implanted in me.

08:17 am - Finals

Today I take my C++ final but it's open book and more importantly open computer. That really makes a lot of questions easier. For instance "What does this code fragment do: ". Let me see, when I put it into a valid program and run it, it does this. So no big deal there. Wednesday is my physics final and I've aced two physics exams and got a 94 on the other one, by my calculations I need about a 'C' to get an 'A' in the class so no stress on that one. I need a 27% on my Calculus final on Thursday to get an 'A' in that class which I should be able to do with half my brain tied behind my back. The one class that should be a no brainer for me is giving me the most stress. My electronics take home final is multiple choice but it's vaguely written and based on an old version of the textbook. Not only that, but it will basically determine my grade in the class. It's 30 questions so if I get more than 3 wrong I won't get an 'A'. I guess I just find it ironic that the class that is essentially a review of what I did for the past 5 years or so may be the one to spoil my 4.0 GPA.

11:10 pm - The Military

As if we didn't know that the military, especially the Marine Corps, is bass ackwards: I went to my Aunt and Uncle's house since it's just down the street from Mary's Aunt and Uncle where we had Thanksgiving. More mail for me. A big yellow envelope. In it was a document with a cardboard backing. It seems that despite not being able to make Corporal while working my ass off for 5 years, I made Corporal by sitting on my ass for 9 months getting fat. Not that it means anything unless I do get called back up but it is funny.

07:24 pm - Put some thought into your job

When you're scheduling required appointments for veterans, make sure you think about it first. For instance, 1 in the afternoon is probably a bad time for someone to have to drive from Victorville to near downtown LA and then back ON THE DAY BEFORE THANKSGIVING. 5 hours later and I am home from my 15 minute appointment. I was going to post a rant about driving but it would be a waste of my time to write it and yours to read it. I wonder what Hawaiian Punch and Rum tastes like, since there's no coke in the house. Happy Thanksgiving everyone
